The first reviews for the 2009 Mollydooker Carnival of Love Shiraz have been published online by wine blogger Brian Pasch, who visited the Mollydooker winery in April 2010 to taste and review the entire 2009 Mollydooker portfolio.

His reviews are published on Corkd.com, the most comprehensive and exciting source for wine news.

Part of what makes Mollydooker Wines so unique is that their portfolio can vary based on the quality of fruit harvested. Many winemakers have hailed this year’s growing season as ‘excellent’, and Pasch’s review of the Carnival of Love and the 2009 Mollydooker vintage reflect those sentiments.

The vineyard fruit is scored based on its Marquis Fruit Weight™ score. For example, the Carnival of Love Shiraz is only produced from vineyards that have an 85% Fruit Weight score.

The Mollydooker Carnival of Love Shiraz is one of the highest rated wines in the world. The 2007 vintage was named the #9 Top Wine in the World and was chosen as one of the “Editor’s Most Exciting New Wines” by Harvey Steiman at Wine Spectator. Jay Miller from the Wine Advocate awards it 96 points.

The 2006 vintage was awarded 97 points by The Wine Advocate and 95 points by Harvey Steiman at Wine Spectator along with being named the #8 Top Wine in the world.

Pasch raved about the 2009 Carnival of Love Shiraz stating, “…It sang to me in the glass with enticing aromas and a complete mouth filling Shiraz experience that is without peer. With all its power it is not overpowering. I could drink the entire bottle without pause; it’s that good.”
